About Hunter Harvest…

Hunter Harvest Network Inc is an agribusiness and agritourism project established in the Hunter Valley of NSW and launched at the Tocal Field Days 2002.

The project aims to enhance agricultural and food production in the Hunter Valley by encouraging boutique product development, marketing and promotion of the Hunter River Valley as a destination for agritourism.

The project is expanding across the Hunter Valley. The catchments of the Hunter River, Paterson River, Williams River and Goulburn River and the Wollombi Brook (the Cockfighter) provide a diverse and interesting range of food production, agriculture and tourism. For gourmet food and fine wine from boutique suppliers come to Hunter Harvest producers first.

The network comprises:
         Growers of fruit, vegetables, lavender, strawberries, macadamia nuts, pecan nuts, tomatoes and olives;
         Producers of fine wines, cheeses, tapinades, honey, jams, preserves, breads and bakery products, beef, fish including
                           smoked silver perch and chocolate;
         Accommodation including resorts and self contained farm accommodation;
         Attractions including events, historic buildings and museums.

The network is developing a series or tourist trails covering the Hunter Valley with each trail designed to provide visitors with a unique experience in rural Australia, one that identifies the best growers and producers linked to accommodation providers and scenic attractions. The concept is based on making touring the Hunter Valley easy and fun - we take the worry out of your travel planning by providing a complete one day, short break or holiday close to both Sydney and Newcastle.
(Note: The complete set of trails and the new map are currently under development, for details contact us on info@hunterharvest.com )
